Shift Technologies Expands Functionality in ThinMind® Timesheet Reporting Application

Charlotte, N.C. - January 17, 2006 - Shift Technologies, Inc. announced today, the latest version of the Timesheet Reporting application in its ThinMind® suite of web-based workforce management solutions. The ThinMind suite is designed for small to large businesses and specifically for the professional services market including, the financial services, legal, and IT and business consulting industries. ThinMind Timesheet Reporting is an integrated web-based administrative tracking solution that provides the ability to collect, track, and report timesheet management information at any level of the organization. ThinMind Timesheet Reporting is available on an application service provider (ASP) basis.

A few of the many new features and enhancements include:

  • Track Time Balances - Allows time balances to be tracked for vacation, sick, PTO, training, and any other category needed. Time allocations can be setup per employee. Ability is provided to add or subtract time from an administrative perspective. Reporting provides summary and details regarding time allocations, time taken, and remaining balances. Reporting is flexible enough to allow balances to be generated for a specific individual or all employees in the company.
  • Automatic Holiday Entry - Provides ability for system administrators to enter the company holiday schedule into the suite. These holiday entries are then automatically posted to each employee’s time card helping to minimize errors and time card preparation.
  • Project Status Collection Integrated Into Timesheet Application - Automates collection of project updates from employees, by allowing information to be entered into the same location as time entries. Allows project managers to focus on strategy and delivery versus data entry. Feature requires the use of ThinMind Timesheet and Project Management applications.
  • Issue Status Collection Integrated into Timesheet Application - Automates collection of issue updates from employees, by allowing information to be entered into the same location as time entries. Feature requires the use of ThinMind Timesheet Reporting and Issue Tracking applications.
  • Additional Approval Process Enhancements - Approval process allows different manager and hr/payroll structures to be setup for timesheet versus expense approvals. This provides more flexibility in notifying and requesting approvals from members inside an organization.
  • Report Grouping Options Expanded - A wide variety of new grouping options have been added to the already highly powerful and flexible reporting. The group by options allow easier totaling based on General Ledger codes, Dates, Weeks, Months, and more.
  • Usability Enhancements - A variety of features have been added including: employee utilization rate on home page, report system links on timesheet admin pages, and improved screen layouts to better convey key information points.
